چکیده
Sheet molding compounds (SMC) are very promising for the production of lightweight structural components, due to specific mechanical properties combined with suitability a large-scale manufacturing process. Automotive industry already implements SMC materials components in their vehicle concepts. Polymeric materials, hence also fiber reinforced polymers, show viscoelastic behavior and dynamic-mechanical-thermal analysis (DMTA) is an important method determining influence temperature loading speed this material class. In work, which based on novel hybrid resin system were examined under bending loads using electric-dynamic test realize high-force analysis. The either discontinuously (Dico) or continuously (Co) reinforced. addition continuous–discontinuous reinforcement was realized by stacking different materials. characterization aimed investigate architecture effect hybridization temperature- frequency-dependent properties. Glass transition comparable glass discontinuous component. Compared continuous carbon SMC, decrease storage modulus could be shifted higher temperatures damping significantly increased hybridization.

Volumetrical Characterization of Sheet Molding Compounds
For a comprehensive study of Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) surfaces, topographical data obtained by chromatic confocal imaging were submitted systematically for the development of a profile model to understand the formation of cavities on the surface. In order to qualify SMC surfaces and to predict their coatability, a characterization of cavities is applied. To quantify the effect of surface mo...
متن کاملDynamic coupled thermal-and-electrical modelling of sheet-and-tube hybrid photovoltaic/thermal (PVT) collectors
In this paper we present a dynamic model of a hybrid photovoltaic/thermal (PVT) collector with a sheetand-tube thermal absorber. The model is used in order to evaluate the annual generation of electrical energy along with the provision of domestic hot-water (DHW) from the thermal energy output, by using real climate-data at high temporal resolution. The model considers the effect of a non-unifo...
متن کاملDynamic mechanical thermal analysis of denture soft lining materials.
The purpose of this study was to characterize the deformation properties of a range of long-term denture soft lining materials using dynamic mechanical thermal analysis. Specimens were subjected to sinusoidal shear deformation at a frequency of 1 Hz and a strain of 64 microns peak to peak over a temperature range of 30-70 degrees C. The technique simulated the type and rate of deformation soft ...
